So I was thinking of necking up a new .243 to 6mm to take advantage of the plethora of 6mm bullets I've been seeing on the shelves here locally. Anybody done this conversion? Pros/cons?
Thanks Make sure you use nickle brass. It's doable and all but I prefer the .308 necked down to 6mm. Seems to be a better mousetrap.

6MM has way better BC than .243. I would do it, you would be like a pioneer.

Thanks I've had several. The 6mm neck makes it definitely more better.

Hmmmmm lots to consider.
I thought of going 308 down, but I thought that might end up overbore with all that case capacity. Was just thinking simple sizing die and fireform would be easier.
I do like the idea of sleekier 6mms as opposed to the more pedestrian 243 offerings.

Can I paint my brass colored brass nickle and get by? Only if it's High temperature paint, cause them 6mm are super hot!

Can I paint my brass colored brass nickle and get by? Wife bought some glow in the dark paint today. Besides painting freaky zombies on my kids ceilings, I wonder should I paint my brass to aid in finding it?

I was thinking the added pressure from the larger bullet would force the glowing particles into the brass at a molecular level. Thus leaving me with glowing brass. Am I wrong?

Did you stab Darth Vader with it? Yes. Well she was black anyways. Had a funny voice, too...
