Had a pile of once fired shells that used 57*, and moved them down the road to someone that was interested a decade ago.

Haven't seen 57* primers in a lot longer than that.

Haven't seen those hulls in 30-35 years. Someone might have a stash somewhere, but for the most part these hulls are LONG gone! Saw some CCI 157 primers (same size as Remington *57) at a local gunsmith's a few years ago...he is asking $50/1000! Last time I was there, they were still on the shelf....with the same price tag.

Thanks anyway for the offer , I was just hoping there was something else they would work in .
Maybe a percussion fired small signal cannon could be made to fit them .

Haven't needed to try it, but have been told you can cut a small section of drinking straw that will fit tightly around the 57 primer and use it in a 209 size hull.
