This guy stopped 165 yds from me & my Tikka 6.5x55 @ 730am Wasn't the one I had been watching..but he was a nice fat well fed 3 pt 19" wide & 16" tall..named him the 'Orchard Buck'.. Figures... Went last week up in the wilderness to hunt deer and saw everything but... Decide to go pheasant hunting today instead of driving the desert for deer and within the first half hour see two decent meaters...a fork horn and a small 6 pointer (I still refer to them in the Midwestern way). Both well within 50 yds. If I had slugs in my 20 ga I coulda nailed em both offhand... EVERYDAMNBODY and their brother was out emptying their autos at everything that moved but at least I scored one for the day.
