Picked this up off the classifieds from jwill350. Gene's small boner in westy micarta. Wanted to see what all the fuss was about. It fits in nicely between my Doziers.....

I brand most all my leather goods. Saddles, tack, shaps, scabbards, boots, choppers and such.

You will not find the level of fit and finish on the Dozier knives like you will on Gene's. First rate !!

See what's available at my website. Thanks

I'm sure it'll serve you well, and you'll likely put it to good use. You seem to get lots of trigger time on animals, so your opportunities to use it on game are plentiful. The brand looks nice on your leather too.

This is true. Gene's fit/finish are about as flawless as "handmade" gets IMO. Especially at that price range.

Very nice knife.........

I get that, about finish and all, but the way they cut and how long they go between touch ups trumps 'pretty'.....And 'most' have to 'go some' to beat, or even hang, with doziers stuff. So far, I've only seen 1 that beat Bob's stuff(in the 'use' department') ......

I like that knife! Looking forward to reading your field tests and hearing how the S30V steel and tempering stacks up to the Doziers.

I haven't seen WM jigged but believe it would really take away from that layer of oxidation that gives it that rich color.

Yeah, I can't imagine jigging Westinghouse. Would almost be sacrilegious. [grins]

Agreed. I don't think Gene's stuff will disappoint.

So do tell, what was "the one"?
