They put a stop in the "short action" calibers. I have one in 7mmm-08. These are great guns; fair price. If I did not already have a couple of .243's; I would add this to my Weatherby arsenal.

Don't want to hi-jack this sale thread, but I understood that the lwt is actually a smaller action, with 6 locking lugs rather than 9 locking lugs and that it's significantly smaller/lighter. But, I may be mis-informed...

Thanks, That's what I thought. It has been such a long time since I owned a 6 lug that I didn't remember if they were SA or LA. This rifle could be re-barrelled to a very nice 240 bee
