After the doe filtered away I hear noise and looked down the ridge below to see the buck coming right up to me crossing at 20 yards. My stand is 30ft up and it was a steep angle, I released after he stepped passed a tree and saw the arrow hit and then stick in the ground. The buck ran about 50 yards up the hill and stopped and just stood there. I put my bino's on him and didn't see an exit hole.I thought what the heck,I know I drilled him.I then saw blood on the inside of his leg and what looked like blood on the ground where he was standing. He took a couple more steps and layed down. Great he's done for I thought but he got back up after about 30 seconds and staggered a bit further and crashed into a deadfall. He flopped a bit and I could see him laboring and knew he was on the way out. A minute or so latter he was dead. Kinda bummed I won't be reading any more daily reports  I haven't been able to archery hunt this year like most years in the past, so have enjoyed this thread. Congrats....

Blasphemy!!!! Everyone knows you cant kill deer with fixed blade heads. And only 2" Blazers will stabilize a carbon shaft with fixed blade head attached:)

I still have a bunch of doe tags, also 8C area tag (right by home)if I shoot a doe DEC will issue me an either sex tag..
Likely get out a time or two but next Saturady 16th gun season opens and I have a buddy coming up from PA to hunt with me so likely will get things in order for that

Doe just came thru I was drawn on. Her but just not quiet light enough to be 100% sure if I had any twigs in the way so I let her walk
