of course it did -- but that's not the most interesting thing in this report.

The most interesting thing I took away was that -- for all it's other problems -- HHS admitted that the key hub for healthcare.gov is on one one server in one building.

it goes down and the entire US health insurance system goes down.

no redundancy, no backup, nothing. one server in one building.

back ups and redundancy weren't in the budget.

Read elsewhere there are backups.. and they aren't encrypted.

So when a set of the backups go missing, everybody's medical and bank and private info is available to whoever has it.

Doh!!

If these idiots worked for anybody but Obama, they'd be fired and blackballed in a New York minute. The incompetence of the entire project is breathtaking, and costs will go up into the billions as they keep trying to fix this for the next few years.

Call me paranoid, but I think the system is working exactly like they planned.

One of the senators asked Sebellius if she'd shut down the web site until an end-to-end security audit could be accomplished on it. Which would be 2 months according to the contractors who testified earlier.

She said no.

Info will be hacked. And fake web sites will be set up that will sucker people into giving their information.

Its cost was $600 million and is sure to go through the roof.

Who would have the thought the .gov would screw up healthcare, after all they have such a stellar track record.

I used to build BFC (big fricken clusters) for a living, the project managers really screwed this one up and obviously had no idea what they were doing. There are functioning blue prints for most of what was needed, 85%+ could have been off the shelf proven technology. This is not bleeding edge new technology they are dealing with.

That's exactly what i'm doing, they can all KMA!
