Ain't yet. Don't believe they're calling for any either. Though there was a cold [bleep] wind and some moisture in it this afternoon. Thought maybe...... Bu then it blew over.

Didn't look to see where the Jet Stream was, but obviously between here and there.

Maybe I'll sell everything but the varmint rifles and O/U and say screw it! Oh well, there's still upland which I really like anyway.

Hope all you guys who still have tags and time get to fill them. Awaiting results and pics...

WTF are you talking about?
No BG tags?
Are the Latinos and Mormons Ace-ing your ass?
Over the counter all day, everyday in my world........

Over the counter tags are reason enough to move (for this guy). In AZ at least archery was OTC, rest was draw. There is a lot to be said for being able to go smoke a doe or dink as you see fit, not as the gods of odds drawing see fit.

Not to bag on NM at all, what I've seen was absolutely beautiful country. But damn, a draw every year? Has it always been that way dude?

Elk has pretty much always been a draw, deer has been a draw for quit a while now. We eventually are moving but it's not in the cards right now.

You elk hunt much?

Have. But don't get the opportunity much now. There is a gen tag herd local and close, but the [bleep] ass landowners treat them as if they are a private game herd, and there's just too much drama to bother with pursuing them heavily. Other than that it's either a draw for other close herds, or a pretty fair drive for a general tag herd anywhere else in the state. Worth it? Yes. But I've been lazy here the last couple years. With the boy getting tags next year my laziness is over. I will be trying to get him a bull and buck every year I can.

Only time I've ever been to Spokane was on the Amtrak with the boy to pick up my truck down at Dave Smith's. Train hit middle of the night, I was just planning to park our butts on a bench and read till morning and the shuttle came to pick us up. After an upstanding local puked in the urinal next to my whilst draining my lizard and surveying the crowd I called an audible and walked a couple blocks to a motel for the remainder of the night. Schitty part of a schitty town from what I've been told. Regardless, I was less than impressed. But it was a learning opportunity for my son. See those? Those are bums. Like the losers you see on TV that are homeless.
