What about 'em?
Between the two that Raj is considering, it would be a tough call. Personally, I'd make the call in the shop based upon the feel of the action, the trigger, and the rifle. Either would be a very fine choice.

SAKO / TIKKA aren't mace in USA but that doesn't seem to bother anyone.
I also hear frequent comments on hos the CZ's bolt isn't as smooth, but I don't really understand what they mean. I haven't noticed any rough spots in mine.

Agreed.
Sako and Tikka are great rifles.
Can't understand the "rough bolt" thing re: CZ either. Maybe that fella just picked up a bad one... or their used to Remington 700s and thus the Mauser action just feels rougher to them? Can't know, but CZs are nice, IMHO.

In the event this actually matters to you the Ruger is not a CRF rifle. It looks like one and works like one for a short distance of the cycle, but it's not a real CRF rifle. The CZ is a CRF action.

I read that the Ruger has a one piece bolt and hence inherently stronger. What about the bolt on the CZ?.Is the wood on the CZ fairly decent?.Both can be had with walnut.

I don't know what you mean by one-piece bolt, but the CZ bolt shroud unscrews on the end so you can remove the firing pin for cleaning.

Hi Redhat,to be frank I don't know either .I read in certain brochures and sites that the Ruger has a one piece bolt and hence very strong and not like some guns with "brazen" bolts (spelling??).Hence my question if some guns like Ruger have a one piece bolt and some have a bolt with different construction.

I can't speak for the CZ's. They've caught my eye on more than one occasion but not enough to make me buy one.
I own two Model 77 Rugers,.. a .308 RSI and an all weather stainless .223.
Many manufacturers make very good quality rifles, but the Rugers just look and feel so "proper" to me,..... and I like the look of their rendition of a Mauser action also.
edited to add: I do own a rimfire CZ,.. the 452 Lux, but I've never owned a centerfire CZ.

I believe CZ's also have a one piece bolt. It means the bolt handle is one piece with the bolt body and not later attached.

I love my Ruger's! I have the SS 06 version. I should be picking mine up tomorrow. I found an older All Weather with indented stock in 06 for a song of a price. It's gonna wear a nice Burris Full Field II with balistic plex retical Dang I can't wait
