Hello, New Member here but wanted to say hi and show some pictures of some knives I make. I am a stay at home dad to 3 kids with the oldest turning 4 at the first of the year. I have been making knives since 2010 right after my little girl was born. I make mostly hunting and camping type knives, but have made a few Tactical designs as well. I make a lot of larger chopper style knives, and I really enjoy making Chef and Kitchen knives. Chef and Kitchen knives are the knives that in my experience get the most use, when we are not using our hunting knives for kitchen duties. I use a lot of different steels in my knife making, both stainless and good old carbon. Utility Skinner Magnum Hunter Bird & Trout 6" Chef Boning Knife Hunter/EDC This is a pretty good sampling of what I make. I do not have any decent pictures of my bigger chef knives or I would show them as well. Thanks for looking, and if you have any questions you can post here or email me at bigchriscustomknives gmail.com

Here is a Camp Knife I just finished, 12.5" OAL with 7.75" Blade .225" thick from a new (to me) steel PD 1 at 63 Rc. It has a convex grind as well. Here are 2 new choppers I just finished as well. Both are CPM 3V at 60 Rc. The Black handle one has a 15" blade and the Jade G10 knife has a 12" Blade.

The texture on that is killer. You can't slip off these scales. Hoping to get to use it soon Chris.

Thanks all. I am anxious to hear your thoughts after you get to use it some. I was going for an aggressive, secure, but comfortable grip. I really liked the feel in hand and really wanted to use it some myself, but I guess I can always make another.

Big Chris.....I'm sure you'll be making plenty of them
I don't always venture out into the sub-freezing darkness, but when I do, it is deer hunting season, and I carry a Remington. Stay hungry my friends.

Nice heavy duty knife. Looks like it could be used as a bayonet!
