The irony overwhelms from time to time. Was out yesterday doing a little scouting at dusk. Walked into the middle of a wad of pork, maybe a half dozen or so, milling around within about 20'. They ranged from 30-125#, average about 75# I guess. I'm not much for skinnin' hogs after dark though I've done so more than once. Pondered it and figured to do it this AM per plan. Shoulda blasted them on the spot.
Operational tip for those contemplating a gun v. tusk fight in a crowd. Make sure your shoe laces are tight and you have an exit strategy lined up before jerking the trigger. Boars are usually faint of heart unless you wound them. Shoot the biggest sow first, not her kids. That way she won't get pissed off when the kiddies squeal. A 20 ga pumper with 5 rounds or more of #3 buck is preferred to a SS short shooter in this scenario.
Anyway, when I get home Mrs. Barbarian brings to my attention there is a major malfunction ongoing about the meds Mom is NOT getting after the ER discontinued her scripts. Minor chitt like thyroid medication and so forth. Reminds me why I don't much care for Docs from foreign lands very much, aside from the problem of understanding their dialect inflection on the King's English.
I'm a simple guy, really, but now and then medical pigs give wild ones a bad name. It tries my patience.

Last week I got a summons for jury duty in Great Falls(320 miles away).
Thinking WTF?!
Get some [bleep] without a job and make them do it. Still pissed, hopefully I can get out of it somehow.
