Somehow cracked the stock on my black Apache nylon 66. Anybody out there have a usable stock lying around?

Wow. Those are virtually indestructible. Did you run it over with the plane?

My uncle has worn out three of them, coon hunting. He still has the fourth one. Send it back to Remington, they claim a lifetime warranty, make 'em honor it.

I passed on one a few years ago due to a cracked stock. I looked around, but at the time couldn't find a replacement stock anyplace. I wish you luck in your search.

I don't know how the thing got cracked. Numrich ran out long time back. Remington quit making replacements (so much for lifetime guarantee)... My son has just about outgrown his single shot, I was hoping to hand down the Nylon 66. I bought this new in the 70's for $69 bucks. eBay list a very scratched used stock for $200... I don't want to go there...

Almost every gun show I attend has a couple of Nylon 66 rifles with good stocks and badly rusted action covers. You might be able to pick one of them up for less than $200 and use the stock and some internals for a spare parts kit.

Poppertsgunparts.com might be worth a call.

Get a manual before you go taking a 66 apart. Trust me on this!
