Are you kidding. This is the internet - - I'm a legend in my own mind. I'm average - - there are some better and some worse. I get by decently, mostly.

I find that Yankees by in large tend to be more ignorant in many things, most especially hunting.
You gotta figure a guy that gets a 9 day season and 1 deer limit likely don't know near as much about killing as guys that kill 10 a season that lasts months.
Never had a problem with a 223 in Alaska, and you can't farther North, West or East.

What is your best shot? Was it accident or skill? A bit of both.. My only rifle at the time (I was 15) was a Rem 572 Fieldmaster with iron sights.. Picked off a sparrow at about 60 yards, moving on a swaying tree branch, offhand, with one shot.. Soon-to-be BIL was watching and when the bird fell he nearly tipped over.. But I KNEW that rifle very well. How well do you really shoot? Just average, I'm sure.. Are you best with a rifle, pistol or shotgun? Probably shotgun - after about 35 years of trap range usage. What range are you accurate? Shotgun - I can hit clays out to 80+ yards. Rifle - don't know, but longest shot I've dropped a P-dog was at 425+ yards. Handgun - with my Ruger SRH in .44 mag I can keep a 4" rotating target spinning at 50 yards with 5 out of 6 rounds.. At least, I used to.. Doubtful right today.. Can you hit a running target? If the sumbich is runnin' toward me, damn STRAIGHT... Tell us or show us what you use, and how you use it. Favorite guns; (shotgun)SKB M85TSS combo, (rifle) any M70, (handgun) tossup between Kimber and Kahr.. With all the hunting, shooting, and stuff, you don't hear about the misses much. Just wondering how good with a gun you consider yourself to be...
Missed a rabbit once at about 10 feet with a handgun.. I couldn't believe it.... geez..

I shot a triple on ducks in the middle of taking a leak. Taking leaks attracts ducks.

Missed a rabbit once at about 10 feet with a handgun.. I couldn't believe it.... geez.. HA,,, that's nothing. I once emptied a Dan Wesson 357 at a rattle snake. Never touched the dam thing. Needles to say, I'm a poor shot at best with a hand gun. Average with a rifle, and slightly above average with a scatter gun. The older I get, the less "average" I get though.

I shot a triple on ducks in the middle of taking a leak. While that is indeed a commendable feat of shooting, I think Roger has you beat... Shot a buck once at just over 400 yds off hand, while i was taking a chit. When I was a teenager, I spent a summer working on a ranch in Pagosa Springs, CO. The old rancher kept a 30-30 in the outhouse just in case a bear disturbed your morning ritual... While the potential for a chit shot existed, it never panned out...

NRA high master in service rifle. Cannot shoot a shotgun for nothing!!!!!! Fairly mediocre with a hand gun. Could be a trend here.. SR HM shooters can't hit with shotguns...

Snakes have a way about dodging bullets. True, but this one was coiled up. You'd think I would of at least grazed it with six shots.

I shot seven ducks with five shots. First two shots they were on the water clumped up and I got three. Next three shots they were flying and I got four for three (one double) with a quick two shot reload in between. That was best fancy shootin' with a shotgun that I ever did. My buddies were impressed and so was I.
