I have a White Lightning model in .504 that's been cooped up too long ! It's taking a trip to the classifieds pretty soon .

white inlines, especially the super 91 are becoming a highly sought after rifle with longer range shooters out west where optics/powder/ignition and bullets are regulated.
Guys are making some pretty good shooters out of these rifles with heavy bullets and Lyman tang sights.

Just used my .451 White Super Safari to bust a gnarly old buck Thursday night. 350 grain White .45/.40 Shooting Star sabot over 70 grains Black Mag 3 lit with a Rem #10 cap. 90 yards out quartering to me, hit point of near shoulder took out a large portion of his spine, shredded top of lungs and punched out through the opposite shoulder blade. DRT. Love my Whites have 2 Thunderbolts, 2 Whitetails and the aforementioned SS. [img:left] [/img] Hard to see, both his antlers fell off when he hit the dirt and yeah, just 3 leggs

I have not hunted open country , just woods & brush , so close range is the norm . .504 cal "G" series & Lightnings w/White enhanced Lead Slugs, leave Golf Ball sized Entrance wound & Baseball size Exit , and usually blows Deer right outta thier tracks .

They are well built nice handling rifles but it's more the concept, or "The White Muzzleloading System", that sets them apart. It can be duplicated in other suitably rifled guns. It's basically slightly undersized long pure lead bullets powered by moderate charges in fast twist shallow rifled barrels. It goes against the current trend of light for caliber bullets at high velocity, but it works well. I've taken 5 deer with the above load and never recovered a bullet. Probably best explained by "Doc" White. http://whitemuzzleloading.com

What bullets are you shooting? Whites seem hard to come by.

In my .451 Whites I use either the White Shooting Star sabot or a Lyman 457193 cast in pure lead and sized to .452". It weighs about 430 grains. The Shooting Star is a pure lead .40 cal 350 grain boatail spitzer in matching .45 cal sabot. They load easy, shoot accuratly in my rifles and do a tremendous job on the whitetails I've shot with them. Whites come up for sale on Gunbroker but are bringing higher prices lately as people seek them out. The Super Safari I shot the deer above with I found earlier this fall advertised on Guns International for $267 shipped from a shop in Virginia. Sounds like the OP nitrosonic is going to sell his if you're interested in one.

E-mail Steven Brown at whiterifles gmail.com. He has what's left of Whites invetory of parts and bullets. This is what he sent to me at the end of October this year: "I can get you parts and bullets. We have the Power Punch 50 caliber 400, 440, 460, 480 or 600 grain conical they retail for $24.95 The Power Star 50 Caliber (45 caliber bullet ) is 320 or 435 grain sabots and retail for $26.95. They both come in boxes of 50 each. Shipping for one to four boxes for $11.30." Wouldn't hurt to order a spare nipple/breech plug while you're at it. Not sure but he might have musket cap size and 209 primer convertions for it if you're so inclined. I noticed I had called the Power Star a Shooting Star. The mind's the first thing to go!

Also Natchez Shooters Supply still has some White stuff on closeout. If needed or wanted they have Quicklever rings and bases I believe were made by Warne. Also Power Punch 600 grain conicals. They're listed under Muzzleloading Technologies Products. http://www.natchezss.com/brand.cfm?brand=WT

500 & 600 gr ; Yeah, and they're soft lead too ,I've recovered bullets big as an old Silver doller after they've smacked a bone. When they don't hit bone you don't find 'em ,but you can stick yer hand in tha exit hole !! Ya shoot a deer with those slugs ,it's like Muhammed Ali roundhousin' Barbie Doll, once it knocks 'em over they can't git up to run . I think it has a lot to do with Hydraulicing the blood back to thier brain.
