I'm in the market for a new bipod for my varmint rifle , for the guys that have the swivels, how do you like em ? Thanks

I have one that I've used for caribou and antelope. If it didn't swivel, I wouldn't own it.

I have a Harris that doesn't swivel that you can have cheap.

66niteowl: All my bi-pods are now the swiveling models.
Took me a while but I found buyers for my 3 non-swiveling bi-pods and replaced them with swivelers.
Anyone that has even a modicum of field Hunting experience knows how much a bi-pod aids ones accuracy under Hunting conditions!
And the swiveling bi-pods add to the bi-pods usefulness afield.
They are a tad heavy out there on the front of our Rifles (and in a couple of cases on the front of my pistols!) but they are well worth it, and worth the extra effort toting them and attaching them.
I look with suspicion and some disdain on big game Hunters and predator Hunters who have no bi-pod or Rifle rest type systems.
They definitely ARE worth the extra expense.
YES... I like them.
Wouldn't go afield without them.

I love a stable shooting platform for serious hunting and a bi-pod gives me just that. I have owned and have used many various kinds extensively, but the Harris that swivels is where the buck stops for me.
Unless the hunt is of a physically demanding nature due to terrain and altitude, etc. Then I turn to a SnipePod.

Swivel bipod as long as you can lock the swivel ala Harris. I love mine and have same thing in several heights

And hey...now you can get a hinged-swivel bracket rest that'll attach to the tree you've got your stand on so you can make those long shots....out to 80-100 yards or so!
