I have seen deer take a made dash after being shot with 300 mags 270 and 30/06 I have also seen them drop in there tracks IME and opinion no two animals react exactly the same to being shot and no bullet or cartridge can guarantee an instant kill unless CNS is hit shot placement is always the most important part of the equation. With that being said I have never had a problem putting game down with hard cast bullets and they are my go to bullet for hunting
