Took three bucks this year with 7mm-08 using Hornady 139 interlock spbt. All died with one shot but ran farther that usual. Two ran 100+ yards which is double the usual distance. Shots were all high lung hits just behind the shoulder with little blood trail. I have never had a failure of the interlock to do its job. Next year I plan on head shots if rest is steady or going back to heart as the target. (Daughter requested I save the heart for her this year).

I've used this bullet in hand loaded form on several deer and hogs and find it extremely unlikely that this bullet would fail.

Hey, anything is possible once. Twice becomes an issue of probabilities. Anyone who says they never miss or botch a shot is probably overlooking the most likely truth. It happens to everyone but you and me. And I'm not so sure about you. I have used Hornady bullets for 40 some years and all bullet failures have been a direct result of the SOG in the mirror.

Why does a man who is 50 pounds overweight complain about a 10 pound rifle being too heavy?

I use two bullets in my 7x57's. The 140 Nosler Partition and the 139 Hornady. On deer I will gladly shoot either one and the performance has been outstanding.
