From another site... Dyer says he shot and killed a Bigfoot in a wooded area near Texas Highway 151 in early September 2012. According to Dyer�s website that recounts the alleged hunt, he had heard of the creature�s existence from several accounts of homeless people living in the area.
Dyer decided to lure the creature by buying ribs at the nearby Walmart and nailing them to the trees.
If he really shot something, I'd say there's a fair chance it's a homeless dude.

If there is one in Texas, I can't imagine "west of San Antonio" being where he's been hiding all these years. Ya, if he really is from around here Bigfoot would stand about 5' 6".... ...but, the plot thickens... 151 and 1604 is EXACTLY where the discovery of that little 4mm endangered cave spider stopped that 50 million dollar highway interchange project halfway through. Could be homeless along there I suppose but I have never seen any, not even begging at the intersections. Most of that goes on at the next loop closer to town, 410, around the north side. I dunno that there's enough infrastructure of the sort that provides refuge out around 151/1604. Not nearly as much water either. Also, the "woods" around there, all of it old ranchland, and that mostly upland live oak/mesquite rather than riparian areas, is pretty well cut up into smaller parcels by development out there, has been for at least ten years.
