Some interesting trivia for all of ya.

We have hit 1000 pages (on my settings) and 50,000 posts. Though some posts have no words (looking at you, Paul and Dave!), I think a fair estimate is ten words per post.

That means this thread has over 500,000 words! An average novel is about 65,000 words. War and Fckin Peace has about 544,000! Think about that for a second and how long it would take someone to read this from the start....

All hail to the BTE!

It ain't what you don't know that makes you an idiot...it's what you know for certain, that just ain't so...

Most people don't want to believe the truth~they want the truth to be what they believe.

Stupidity has no average...

If pics are worth a thousand words then the BTE surpasses all that has ever been written.

Always a tradition to stop in at Trixie's and have a beer when passing through with a dead critter in the back of my pickup.

I never got around to posting any pics, and other than telling a yuppy to [bleep] himself, I haven't really talked about it here much.

Yes, last summer me and my buddy Wes through hiked the Bob Marshall north to south. Meadow Creek trailhead to North Fork of the Blackfoot. East side Southfork trail, up to the Dannaher, over the Dry Fork Divide. Dry Fork trail (Highwater trail, which was a bad idea.) Depending on who you talk too, it's either 82 or 88 miles. We make it in 6 days, and spent a lot of time F'ing off and fly fishing.

It's too soon to see what I get for vacations next summer. But if I get both weeks off, there's a 7-8 day flyfishing trip followed by through hiking Benchmark to Spotted Bear, following the China Wall for it's entirety.

That sounds like a great time, I would love to have done the likes, I spent some time on North Cradall creek fishing after an elk hunt, it was colder than I like for fishing but it was an incredible time.

It was no where near comparable to what you guys did, but enjoyable just the same. Good luck with your next one.

Speaking of reflecting on this thread - who was it that had the pic of the cute redhead, with the vividly different colored eyes?

I tried to catch up on all the pages I'd missed, but I ran out of steam. I'll do a better job of keeping up.

Waiting for a good view of the northern lights tonight. nothing yet.
