Almost everyone I know that has gone to traditional archery has pretty much followed the same path.
Rifle- Shoot more/better than everyone else, keep one hole group in wallet to show everyone. Never kill anything, " not big enough, moved as I pulled the trigger, another hunter blew it for me blah,blah,blah.' " I'm switching to archery because its more challenging ".
Compound- buy all the latest greatest stuff. Win more 3D shoots than anyone alive. Still can't kill [bleep] but now have more/better excuses. " wind shifted, 5 YDS to far, jumped the string, to little, blah, blah, blah". " I'm switching to traditional because its the ultimate challenge".
Traditional- Have the best bow built, again win every 3D shoot. Still can't kill [bleep] but have the ultimate excuse.
Am I close Ace?

Bows are awesome, but I don't see why a guy would put himself on a pedestal because he's killed a couple does with arrows....
Guess the "Haves, and Have Nots" kind of applies here.

Go over to archerytalk.. The fatasses that drive their quads to their stand over a food plot are more skilled than any rifle hunter.
It's f�cking hilarious.
I replace valve cover gaskets every 50K, if they don't need them sooner...

I didn't last long over there.
I told them scent lock was bullshit, and if you're so fat you can't walk 50 yards from your atv, you shouldn't call yourself superior.
And camo was bullshit.
Boy they get torqued over that.

on the flip side, it can make you crazy and you may starve if you rely on eating what you kill. LOL
Thats why I mostly hunt with a rifle. I can sit out 200 yards, smack my juicy fruit, smoke a stogie, whap off, and multiple other things and the damn animals don' know the diff. Next thing ya' know, they are dead, usually don't have to track or come back the next day looking for something the hogs and vermin have already ate and then I get to.

The difference between me and pig hunters what use bows is I don't have to climb trees after I shoot. Or track. I'm lazy.
But if I was going after stuff that could hurt me with a bow I'd wear Nikes.
