That one is an early 70's or late 60's gun. Gonna get an archives certificate for it. It was completely refurbished by Colt. They have verified the history of it, but you have to pay for the certificate.

Too bad it will end up in a pawn shop so mini-'flave can get loaded and buy breakfast at a Waffle House at 3am one morning.

Oh well.

I'm pretty sure when I die, the vultures will swarm.

That Colt was unfired since the re-furb. But I got about 100 rounds through it now. grin

Bit of trivia to you younguns that weren't borne back in the dayS&W had the LE market for a long time with their M10 but soon a request went up from LE to shroud the ejector rod.seems a lot of them were getting bent on perps heads. So S&W incorporated the ejector shroud into other models, like the 15 and 19

I see Colt did the same on Troopers, Border Patrols, Pythons and Diamondbacks.

I think more were bent from holsters than anything else, but the perp's head story is funnier.

Speaking of model 10's I rescued this one yesterday. Filthy, but locks up tight as a school girl's....

Cop gun. Holster wear on the muzzle, and slight cylinder ring. Gift for mom.

I 'get' the wood thing. I don't mind getting aholt of 'bolt-ons', either....

Wow, that is a cute photo, did you take a half day on that project? Looks like the work of a soccer mom. :O)
