John Barsness is asking those going on the 2014 Hog Hunt to name the rifles they are taking.

I'd like to know myself. Last year there was a complete spectrum of firearms, bows and knives.

I do know where there's a Ruger #1, in .475 Turnbull. Plain wood, though. Haven't found a fancy wooded .450 Nitro, either, darn it...

I didn't find it bad to shoot at all ...But then again I grew up shooting 12 ga slug guns,It took the pusifaction out of me early

I'm delighted that at least two of the newbies are the sons of guys who were there before. The future of guns and hunting resides in the next generation, as it always has.
