Referring to the ropers with the Ice sole.

How do you like them?

How durable are the rubber soles?

Just bought a pair today. Only time will tell how durable they are but they're very comfortable and made in the USA unlike the Ariats and Justin's.

Never tried their ropers. Have had a couple of pairs of riding boots over the years and still have a pair of packers. All of them have held up well in our country which is mostly rocks and thorny shrubs once you get into the mountains.

I am wearing Anderson Bean now but I want a black pair with rubber soles for work, the USA tag is a high priority. I thought they felt pretty good in the store; rocks and shrubs would be pretty similar to our construction sites.

Double H are great. Wore their ropers when I lived in Central OR. Hot and cold, dry and in snow and ice. They work and they last.

Always used the pull on western boots.
The company makes good serviceable boots.
I need a new pair as soon as I can get up the tariff.

Wore a pair of their super rappers before the current sole came out. Bought them around 2001 and wore near daily for 10 years. Replaced heels three times and still on original soles. Finally leather wore through. It was a sad day.

I have a pair of Double-H Ranch Wellingtons that I have worn literally every day that I have worn long pants (basically 6 months a year) since 2002. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. I have not replaced the rubber soles and doubt I will need to for another 10 years. I can't say enough good stuff about their products.

Tried a few, but none have fit well enough.

Sticking to Justin ropers for now.

How do you guys get more than two years out of a pair of boots?? I wear pull on boots every day 5 or 6 days a week and 80% of that is on a construction site. I gave up on georgia boots after two pairs that lasted six months each. I've recently been wearing Ariats which give me about a year And a half before the sole, leather and insole is worn to hell and back.

My Double-H boots are built much better than my Ariats, with that being said I wear Ariats everyday. My Double-H's are riding boots though and have the leather sole.

No way a leather sole could hold up better than a rubber sole for me.

I've got a coupla pair of Double H Packers, one pair's almost gone, one still minty. they are FINE and comfortable boots. My Ariat packers seem to be equally comfortable, but I don't like the cloth lining, and can't see them lasting like the HHs.

I've had two pair of THESE over the last ten years. The first pair lasted almost eight years until the soul wore completely out. Their AG7 soles wear very good for me. Had to re-heel a few times, but I'm hard on heels as I walk on concrete most of the time and heavy on my heels. Double H work boots have very good leather in them.

Can't comment on their Ropers as I have never wore them. For leisure wear most of my boots are Tony Lamas.
