This is a Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 standard model that has been re-bored from the original .30-06 by Wayne York of Oregunsmithing to .35 Whelen. I have not measured the twist, but it is very accurate with 250 grain bullets, so I suspect 1-12 or 1-14. The gun comes with a Lyman All American Permacenter 3x scope with post and crosshair reticle in Leupold mounts and rings, and the sling shown in the pics. It has been completely refinished, both wood and metal, and has been glass bedded. It has been hunted, and here are some minor hunting dings in the wood, but nothing through the finish. The scope is well worn, but completely serviceable with reliable adjustments. Please see pics for condition. The gun has about 320 rounds through it since the rebore. I would like to sell this for $900 shipped to your FFL. If I have to use an FFL on my end, there will be an additional $25 charge to cover the cost. I accept postal money orders and will ship the rifle within 48 hours of receipt of funds and FFL. I don't know what it takes to sell to California, but am willing to be educated. As usual, first 'I'll take it' gets the gun. I'll also consider trades for a Ruger 77 RSI in .250 Savage, a Kimber Classic Select in .257 Roberts, or a new Winchester 70 FWT in .257 Roberts. No other trades considered at this time.

Pretty nice rifle at a fair price. I didn't think it would last long...
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA
