Agree with muley, great rig, great caliber - my wife shoots a 7-08ai and it's a dandy.

The rifle is not completely done as I'm still planning on having this one cerakoted and possibly the barrel fluted. Certainly liking it though. - Defiance rebel action - Bartlein #3, 7mm-08, 23" bbl, threaded - McMillan Game Scout in GAP camo (standard fill) - APA DBM - Jewell trigger - Murphy titanium 10 moa, Vortex rings, Leupold VX6 3-18x50 Put together by Lee aka REDNECK on the fire. Don't have pics to show for it, but the rifle is a hammer. Weight as pictured with magazine

Snake in the grass... LH Win Model 70, .264 Win Mag Barrel is a takeoff target barrel that did not make weight. Sent it to Twisted Barrel for fluting; they did a fine job and were quick. 28" and 8 twist. Redneck did the chambering and installed the Jewell trigger, and as always was a joy to work with. Quick, thorough, good communication. The stock was a RH Laredo stock I had sitting around that needed a paint job. An outfit I had not used before in Salt Lake City (Liquid Innovations) did the hydrodip. Took them less than a month. It weighs 9# 6 oz w/out a scope, it will come in about 11 ready to roll. Need to find a 20 MOA rail before the snow melts.

Sucks action. Douglas Stainless Premium #3 finished @ 21" .223AI. Tuned factory trigger. Talley LW's with Leupold MK AR mod 1. 3-9X40mm. McMillan BDL pattern (I think) Weighs 7 1/2 lbs with scope and rings. All work done by Mickey Coleman. [bleep]' thing shoots everything sub-moa. Travis Dang I had to look twice. Cool looking rig you got there

My all around rifle. The first rifle I bought out of high school after doing all kinds of reading and trying to decide on the perfect caliber. Started as a Rem 700 classic in 280 Rem. Still a 280 Rem. - Rem 700 Action CM - Mcmillan Classic Stock ADL in OD Green. 1/2" pad 13.5 LOP - Brux Barrel Rem Sporter countour 1-9 - Jewell Trigger - Bolt Fluted by Karl - Graphite Black cerakote by Karl - Talley Ex-lows - Leupold VX3 3.5-10x40mm with M1 elevation knob - 7lb 10oz as shown Bob Green did all of the smithing other than the cerakote and bolt fluting. Shoots 140AB into 1/2 to 3/4 without trying and is the best pointing rifle I have owned.

22" barrel with 1" shank. Love the rifle as is, but I may have split the difference with the barrel length at 23" if doing it over. I wonder why I have any other rifles after shooting it.

While not a full custom, here's a Stainless LH Model 70 I recently acquired and did some customizing to. I think it turned out pretty nice. Work I did to it: New custom Mauser-style bolt handle buildup and bolt release lever(by Mark Penrod) Cut and re-crown barrel to 24", and whole barreled action bead-blasted to look factory fresh(by "Redneck") PT&G steel bottom metal Cerakoted "Satin mag" to match stainless steel(by Eddie Fosnaugh). Still need to have Eddie Cerakote the Talley mounts in graphite black. McMillan Win 70 FWT pattern in Black w/Gray speckletone paint Glass bedding/floated barrel(did myself) Cal: 7mm Rem Mag Sorry for the crappy cell-phone pics. Should be good medicine for Mulies/Elk on cross-canyon shots with handloaded 160gr Accubonds or 140gr T-TSX at 3,000 and 3,100 fps respectively. Leftybolt

Thanks. 10.8# ready to hunt with 4 cartridges. I shoot 250 grain bullets so I didn't want to go 'as light as possible.'
