He has, Tenring got beat up on another forum by Mystro and another guy for saying anything bad about the JOC rifle. I never saw any great pictures of Tenring's rifle or any macro shots from Mystro, however the other guy posted some macros of his checkering and, I saw some obvious flaws in the checkering along the borders of the forearm.

I like the JOC rifle and for a mass produced rifle it isn't half bad. My tastes aren't the same as JOC for the checkering and Fleur De Lis on this rifle, and I didn't care for all the engravings that Winchester added. I don't know if they all shoot as well as Mystro's but he has a good rifle going in his JOC tribute.

They go down just like a whitetail. I have seen many first hand go bang/flop with a 308 and 06. I have had family members kill a few with their M94 30-30. I still carry my pre 64 M94 30-30 when brush driving bear.

Here is another.

I can't comment on this other than I and other JOC owner had some direct issues with the matter in question on another forum. I will go on record in saying "no comment" and consider my experience and many other JOC owners that have tracked me down having a different experience and are quite satisfied with our purchase. As mentioned before,, I purchased my JOC Rifle to hunt with and consider it a wonderful rifle that performs as good as it looks. Nuff said...... whistle

I spent 22 years in the gun biz and had more than a few 'customers' complain about "faults " with guns that you couldn't detect with the naked eye.

Thanks guys, glad to participate and share in our sickness . grin

As a quick background and introduction. I am a hardcore Bowhunter as well as a handgun and rifle hunter and fly fisherman. I also do a bit of trapping.
I was a sponsored IPSC shooter back in the 1990's and was THE first to use the 10mm in limited IPSC competition. Been to Gunsite twice and am involved with tactical shooting locally. These days I spend more time hunting than traveling to tactical matches. I am on many enthusiast forums, been a few forum moderators and am glad I found my way to the 24hour. I try to keep my Mystro name on all my forums so if you see me there you know its the same guy.

+2. Though the grip cap fit looks to be lacking on the OP gun... Here's my M70 "tribute" 270.

Beautiful gun and really nice scope, but I just can't warm up to that front scope base hanging over the port. IMO it detracts from the lines of a beautiful rifle.

EdM, what bases and rings are on your rifle? They are sweet! The rings look like Conetrol but I don't recognize the bases.

I'd say no on the stock, but it sure is pretty. I really like the S&K rings and bases.
