One of these days we need to kill something. Gramps has the ranch up for sale but I told him he has to write up exclusive gopher shooting rights in the contract for us if it sells.

Finally made it out, first time this year. It's been so freaking cold here I didn't have any desire to lie out in the snow. It warmed up to 50, was cloudy, and the rancher said I was the first one there this year. A total muddy mess but that wasn't going to stop me.

It was a great day, the 222 mag Vixen, (way prettier than any .17) was still dead on and I hadn't forgotten how to dope the wind.

Seemed the dogs weren't fully awake and I was able to get more shooting at each setup.

The bike lived

It was its maiden voyage btw, worked really well. Faster and quieter than walking.

how fast were ya peddlin' when ya hit him? Maybe going down hill, so ya had enough forward momentum to kill him clean or did ya have to waste a bullet to finish him off?

He was too fast for the bike but not for the bullet.

Here is my son's fur for this season, we are taking it to the buyer tomorrow after school. He already has plans for the money, he's looking at gps collars for his OMC that we got from rdfirenut. The pup didn't help with this years fur but I'm sure she will have a part in next years!
