I wish I could have been there to see that. What kind of velocity are you getting with those bullets?

There were a pile of Winchester '94s at the hunt this year, including a 16" trapper belonging to Crimson Tide.

I shot my pig with a '94 .30-30, 150 grain Winchester factory. 20" carbine.

Tell us about your SxS. Gunner's got us all in a lather over these.

I built it off a 16ga shotgun action, like my colt "dehaminator" seen here:[Linked Image]

The 30-30 is scoped (no pictures of it), with a 1.5-4.5x and I haven't put the quarter ribs on it, because I've been waiting to bush the strikers on the action, due to pressure issues, before I do much else. And I haven't regulated it yet either but I've been shooting trail boss loads out of it just for giggles.

The SxS 45 colt works though. 1100 fps with 280gr SAA's. Makes big holes.

I have a Belgian made Browning, Superposed, trap, that I used to shoot ATA with...back in the day. Almost get a hard one when you close it and listen to it lock up...UFB smooth

IM/Full. IM for 16 yard, full for handicap.

I use it for hunting now...mostly doves, pheasants, rabbit quale, etc..

Pulverizes schit (TT)...at least when the operator does his part.

That gun has a rather long LOP. If you go looking for one you might find something shorter to be more comfortable and swing better for you.

I have a 20ga which is much shorter (by about an inch) and it swings better for close targets like we were shooting there.

Better to be bit by the Superposed bug than one of those hogs. *L*
