I'm putting together my latest Remington 700. This time it's a 270 win. 700 mountain, BDL, brown laminate, stainless with a silver Nikon Monarch 2.5-10X42 BDC. My question is about mounts. I have used Leupold dual dovetail rings with two piece mounts and the standard rings with one piece mounts in the past. This time I'm thinking of the integral base and rings DNZ Game Reaper or the tactical version rings/mounts in low. Any opinion of either of these two options.
Thanks go any help or input.

I have the DNZ Hunt Master two piece ones on my Marlin XL7, and really like them. I have a Burris FFII 4-12x42 on it, and they fit great. I think they are pretty rugged, and would recommend them. I have the low ones, but they are medium height when compared to my Talley's and Burris rings.

I like them alright. I like Talleys a lot better.

Way better than anything with dovetails. I prefer Talley lightweights too, but on a rifle as heavy as what you are putting together the DNZ's will be fine.

How much heavier are the DNZ's then Talley Lightweights especially if you get the 2 piece DNZ's. I don't think there is enough difference in weight to even quote it on the 2 piece DNZ's

My original thoughts on using the one piece was to add extra strength to the scope mount but now I don't believe it would add anything extra other than a little weight and less access ablity once it's bolted to the rifle. I'm now leaning towards the four screw Hunt Master version. They can't be any heavier than Talleys.

I have both the one-piece and two-piece versions on various rifles.... a couple of Weatherby Vanguard S2's and an S1, a Model 70 Win., a Remington 722, a couple of NEF single shots. They always fit well and none have given me any problems. I prefer them over the Talley LW's.

I have DNZ Game Reaper mounts on my M70 and Rem 660. I'm pleased with them.

I have DNZ game reaper one piece mounts on a Vanguard, the benefit of this mount is both ring mounts have been bored in one go offering perfect alignment of the scope, to get such a precision alignment with separate bases be they base/ring set or one piece like the Talleys is easier said than done ( I have the Tally light weight as well on a Kimber ) extra strength is a bonus. I have had a number of ring sets that needed heavy lapping to get a decent alignment ( not cheap ones ) the DNZ were good to go

I use these for my Tikkas and they're working very well! No regrets at all.

Thanks for all the responses. I'm now on the hunt for the four screw version, one piece Game Reaper Tactical. The best price I've seen is on the Optics Planet. $64.95 free shipping.
I'll post my thoughts about the results.

I just received my DNZ Tactical one piece base/rings. The fit is perfect, they look great and tough. My order took three weeks to deliver. I'm glad I didn't wait until late fall to order.
The real test will happen tomorrow. Going out with my boys to sight in.
