I think that KY is destined to win this yr but after losing to Fla three times this yr and seeing how Uconn dismantled them yesterday, I'm worried!

They have tightened up the charge call to where it is almost impossible to achieve. In addition to being afraid that a defender might transfer a bit of sweat to the offensive player, in order to be granted the boon of a charge, the defender must now have established his position more or less before the offensive player has entered the game.

Kyabrams66: My "Cinderella team" was Gonzaga - they didn't go to far in the tournament though. I was rooting for them but when they got bumped in the second round I also started rooting for another "under-dog", Kentucky! One of my out of state Varmint Hunting friends played for Kentucky years ago before he became a DEA agent. He is retired now and travels to Montana a couple times a year to Hunt and fish. Great guy so I am rooting for his old alma mater to win. So many of the games in this years tournament have been great contests to watch. I hope Mondays game is another good one. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

I'll say it once again. Never ever count out a basketball program like UConn or KY. In this case, I would say UC is the more dangerous of the 2.
Go SEC Wildcats!

UConn is the more dangerous team but KY takes it unless they get into trouble early. --------------------------------------------------------- ARLINGTON, Texas -- Kentucky center Willie Cauley-Stein will miss Monday night's national title game against Connecticut because of a lingering ankle injury, while forward Alex Poythress plans to play after tweaking his knee during the Wildcats' semifinal celebration.
Cauley-Stein called it "heartbreaking" that he would have to watch the championship game from the bench. He hurt his right ankle in his NCAA tournament opener against Kansas State, played with pain in a victory over Wichita State and then aggravated the injury against Louisville.

Go SEC Wildcats! It's amusing to me that you can get no SEC homer to acknowledge the fact that 3 of the starting 5 for UK are from Texas.

I sit third row center court at UCONN games. What is frustrating as hell is they don't play like they do in the tourney at home. This year I gave my buddy my tickets to the final four. I know he and his wife will have a blast either way. Hell he has called me already like ten times. I am not answering his calls tonight. Hopefully UCONN will repeat 2004 with the men and woman bringing home the titles!
I hate Calapari but I like UK so good luck to all you UK fans tonight.

HA! Yeah, but they elected not to stay in Texas! Maybe now that TX has it's very own SEC representation that will change!!

UT has a solid program just come up short all the time. Remember in college basketball it is not who the best team is, it is the team that played the best in the tourney against their match ups. With one exception woman's basketball. But even then sometimes it still sneaks in there.

We continually hear the chants of SEC, SEC, SEC......all the while the majority of UK's players are from nowhere near Kentucky. I think that's rather comical, that's all.

Let me ask you Calipari azzkissers something: 1. What D1 schools has he coached at? 2. How many of those schools has wound up with troubles from the NCAA?

All I need to know about tonight's game:
Obama picked UConn.
I can't stand Kentucky, but tonight I root for them.

We'd tried a Texas coach,...Billy Gillispie.
He went wacky and they run him off after 2 years.
He went back to Texas to coach and they run him off too.
