Maybe I'll just build another 7-08. All this arguing is stressful.

If I'm reading that chart correctly, looks like 6XC is the king. I knew I chose wisely.

Travis Which would be a fine idea. Especially since the 162 Amax is going back into production.

I would use the 150gr Accubond Longrange in the 7.08, a solid BC of .611 and faster velocity. The 7.08 is a dog with 162's.

Just build a 243. It's the 223 of the 6mm world. Fine performance. Works well in a short action. You won't worry about losing brass or finding new brass in either super spendy or cheap throwaway configuration. Or I dare say it, buy factory ammo for the brass. Even neck down your 7mm-08 when times are tough. Where does it say this is a 6MM Creedmoor versus .243 thread?

When Travis brought it up. To bring the thread back around, are you noticing much change in POI when switching between suppressed and unsuppressed?

I center my builds around the components I have on hand these days... grin.
Travis Ask Pat, he will agree with me. RL 17 sux. Very temp sensitive.

Sendero Man, what kind of velocity loss did you see compared to temperature change?

Only lost about 45 fps changing to h4350. And haven't seen more than 16 fps swing.
But running RL 17, I saw over 250 fps temp swings from summer to winter and if I remember right, Pat saw even more
H4350 runs in the 6mms !

Thanks, I remember Pat posting a couple years ago that R17 fizzled when it got real cold.
Maybe some lots are more temp sensitive than others?
I tested both H4350 and R17 this past December.
H4350 lost about 100fps(243 Win) and R17 lost about 200fps(300 WSM).
(going from -20F rifles/ammo to warmed up rifles and 125F ammo that I heated on the defrost)
10F-80F there isn't much of an issue/velocity loss but obviously losing 100-200fps is going to really screw up cold weather LR shooting.
Hijack over.
Pat, that setup could really be handy for dog hunting around here!

Nice looking rifle! Suppressors sure are pleasant to shoot with, wish my stamp would come in.

I'm impressed by you guys who shoot accurately/precisely at distance in the wind. Here in Wyoming an 8 mph wind is called a dead still day!

I'm liking this rifle more every time I shoot it. After 165 rounds through the tube, I've added a little more H4350 to increase the velocity 60fps, and it seems to be getting tighter and tighter. Coyotes already hate it.....grin!

I too am trying to ignore cans. Too many toys lined up as it is, but that 6 Creedmore does look sweet!
What speeds are you getting with the 105's? What makes the Creed a better case than a 243?

I've been selling off a few rifles lately and replacing them with can orders.
I'm really digging the lack of noise and blast so far!
