How hard is it to install a Timney or other aftermarket trigger?
It's a one beer job at the most.
Lightweight!
Plan for at least 3, just to make it fun!~
I'm sending in a NIB, unfired 700 STS that I won at a Friends of the NRA dinner a couple of years ago.
Already waited two years, I'm gonna let Remington give it a whirl and see what they do.
ETA: it's a .243 Win., a caliber that I wouldn't have thought about buying into, but...it's a good cartridge.
If it's screwed up when I get it back, I'll not know any better since I never shot it in the first place!
THEN, I'll consider spending extra money for an aftermarket trigger.
That's how I'm going about it.
