Neighbor lady called @ 0720 hours while I was ironing britches for work, sez there's a lethargic rackety coon chile been hanging around her patio and garage all night. It's now walking in super slow mo near the front porch...could I render it null? Yes'm! 10/22 Tacsol bbl, CCI Subsonics and AAC Aviator to the rescue. Two to the chest did trick after I verified the zombie stare of the rabid. Wanted to save the brain for testing, then learned they don't test all, just the ones that've bit human or domestic critters. Neighbor lady is MTSU professor,, so gently suggested I could rig her a 10/22 as mentioned in bedside gun thread that'd let her handle such problems easily around her 5-acre spread. She's pretty amenable to 2nd Amendment after realizing her Shih Tzu were in mortal peril this a.m. Got me a convert from the Groves of Academe!
