They only lost 55 fps from 26" down to 22" http://precisionrifleblog.com/2013/07/16/6-5-creedmoor-barrel-length-and-muzzle-velocity/ Some more. The 270 only lost a little over 100 fps from 27" down to 21". http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/f19/short-barrel-magnum-velocity-19346/ Most people don't really want the truth. They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.
