I�ll probably regret this, but I am selling my 700 Ti in .270. This is a factory Remington Titanium action with the original factory barrel. I�d intended to rebarrel it but I �shot the donor� and couldn�t justify making any changes. The factory stock has been replaced with a green McMillan Hunters EDGE stock with a 13 �� LOP. The stock was ordered with pillars and was bedded to the action by Karl at Kampfeld Customs. Karl also added some black spatter paint to make the stock color pop a bit. The factory shroud and triggerguard were replaced with aluminum parts from PT&G which cut additional weight, a lightweight firing pin was also installed (not sure of the brand, Karl installed it). Karl also Cerakoated all of the metal including the Talley mounts a satin black (I do not recall the exact color used). The rifle also has a Timney trigger installed.

I purchased the rifle used here on the Fire and have fired it around 100-150 times. The rifle has been on one horseback hunt and shows some saddle scabbard finish wear on the edge of the bolt handle which is visible in the photos. Additionally, there are some small scratches on the butt near the recoil pad. I have found the rifle to be very accurate (.5-.75 MOA) with Barnes Vor-Tx factory 130gr. TTSX, Federal Premium 130gr. TSX, and DoubleTap 130gr. Accubonds. My practice load is 130gr. Sierra BTSP with 59.5gr. H-4831SC @ 2900 fps and is also sub-MOA. I had a CDS dial made for the Vor-Tx factory load, which is included with the rifle. The rifle will ship in the factory box.

The rifle weighs 5 pounds, 7.8 ounces with the scope mounts. This is a turnkey setup for 95% of North American hunting and a backpack hunter�s wet dream. With my 3rd child about to be born, I see few backpack hunts in my immediate future. I am asking $2950.00 plus actual shipping to your FFL. Photos below were taken today, the paper target was the only one that I could find. The group is 130gr. Federal Premium TSX and was shot with the factory stock before Karl worked his magic. Accuracy is as good or better now. The group on the steel target is a 300 yard group that I fired prone in an 8mph wind to confirm my zero after flying the gun across the country, scope was a 6x42mm Leupold and is not for sale.

It doesn't get much better than this. I have one just like it that is getting re-barreled to 280 Ackley Improved. You have addressed the main cons to the Remington Ti, the trigger and firing assembly. Nice gun bump!

Part of the remodel will be a shop with a lathe and a mill so it's not all bad.
