Original deal fell through, so I am relisting.

This is a first generation Remington 700 VSSF in .308 Win. I am the original owner. The VSSF (Varmint Synthetic Stainless Fluted) has an H.S. Precision stock and a 26-inch 1:12 twist barrel.

I had this rifle accurized by Arnold Arms (no longer in business) of Arlington, WA, back in the late 1990s. They trued and bedded the action, cryo-ed and re-crowned the barrel, and set the factory trigger at 3#.

Rifle wears a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10X40 LRT (Long Range Tactical) scope (30 mm tube) with mil dot reticle, side focus, and 1/4 MOA turrets; Butler Creek scope covers included. Scope is mounted in Badger Ordnance maximized rings on a 20 MOA Badger base. Harris bi-pod is NOT included in sale. Don't have the box, but do have the original manual.

Approximately 500 rounds of Federal 175 grain Gold Medal Match ammo down the tube. Rifle consistently shoots sub-MOA with the Federal GMM ammo. Last picture is of a 0.3875� five-shot group that gives you an idea of what the rifle is capable of. Given the success I had with the 175 grain GMM, I never tried anything else.

Much as I like this rifle, my interests have changed and I no longer have use for it. It has sat in my safe for a decade. Time to get it into the hands of someone who will use it.

I do not want to sell the scope separately unless the rifle sells without it. If you want less than the assembled package, here's the list. Prices include insured shipping to an FFL who will receive from a private seller.
