By Federal law, all correspondence into the White House, Treasury and Justice Departments must kept on file. They have redundancy systems in place to capture all documents from any source, so they have the e-mails. Someone just needs to demand they be produced or go to jail. Someone needs to convene a firing squad.
They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

As a professional IT guy...
Can't see it being possible that they lost all the backups for 3 years from a gov't agency email account. And there's no copies available from the White House email backups.

Yep! I agree! It's called high availability and failover clustering. Impossible to lose the emails. They were removed, intentionally.

There have been too many examples of government employees (even presidents) unsuccessfully hiding things. I do not believe that this crowd is that good.

They need to start at the top in the IRS and ask them if they can deliver those emails. It the answer is no, fire that one and move to the next one. They will turn up. miles
