My favorite thing to do is shoot bullfrogs on ponds after dark. Head light and open sights. So fun it should be illegal. Shot a few last night with .22 wrf.
Eating fried chicken and watermelon since 1972.

Here it is illegal to shoot them, and if you aren't recovering them, your wasting some good eats.
I like to shoot old tennis balls, on land or water they're a hoot.

My step father and I play "golf" at the range. We throw a golf ball out at like 25-30 yards. Shots must be off hand and the object is to get the golf ball all the way back to the slate bank at 100 yards with the fewest shots.

We used to spend hours sitting on Grandma's porch popping starlings and grackles out of the Norway maples and black locust trees around the house. Too many people around for high-angle shooting these days. Airguns would be best now.
Starlings are really smart little buggers and also challenging wingshooting targets. If they were good to eat, they'd be little feathered treasures. Since they're essentially flying carp, you can shoot all you want.

Jack rabbits, ground squirrels and prairie dogs. Some hanging metal plates or knock-downs.

I would have to agree, squirrels and .22's just go together. Head shots or there is a penalty. Got my BIL years ago to give up the shotgun for them, now he has gone 22 crazy!!!

Squirrels or gophers. Clay pigeons on the 100 yard backstop is fun too, especially if there is just a hint of wind to make it challenging.

Love it. I do retrieve the frogs and fry them with flour salt and pepper just like a chicken leg. I also love some squirrely action, especially after the leaves fall. I'm gonna try .22 shorts for frogs next. Also my recurve bow once I find a flash light that will screw into the stabilizer hole.

You have certainly found the Squirrel "Honey Hole". Some good eating there. I enjoy hunting game like Squirrels or Cottontails. Also try to manage the starling population.

Wish we had a decent tree rat population. Mostly we have the annoying pine squirrels. A few city red tree rats though.. We can do this though with a 22 MRF.
