Last time I checked this is an act of war. At the very least, the base where this chopper came from should be destroyed by the US Air Force.

TUCSON, Ariz. (CBS Las Vegas) � Border Patrol agents in Arizona were reportedly fired upon by a Mexican military helicopter that traveled across the border.

KVOA-TV reports that Mexican authorities were conducting a drug interdiction operation when the incident happened early Thursday morning on the Tohono O�odham Indian Nation. The Mexican chopper fired at the agents and then flew back into Mexico.

Art del Cueto, Border Patrol Tucson Sector union president, tells KVOA that they called and apologized for the incident.

�The incident occurred after midnight and before 6 a.m. Helicopter flew into the U.S. and fired on two U.S. Border Patrol agents,� del Cueto said in a statement to KVOA. �The incident occurred west of the San Miguel Gate on the Tohono O�odham Indian Nation. The agents were unharmed. The helicopter went back into Mexico. Mexico then contacted U.S. authorities and apologized for the incident.�

Andy Adame, Border Patrol spokesperson, said that Mexican authorities fired two shots at the border agents.

�Two shots were fired from the helicopter but no injuries or damage to U.S. property were reported,� Adame told KVOA.

The incident is under investigation.

More proof that we need to have our borders locked up and patrolled by our military. I guarantee that if you put a few anti aircraft units on the border, this stuff will cease, along with the illegal border crossings.

You are a funny lot, some dill in the Middle East looks cross-eyed at you and the whole Nation mobilises for a fight...you are daily invaded and your citizens are subjected to being degraded, murdered, preyed upon, and (it would seem) physically disenfranchised from your own lands.

why the hell would they fire on the border patrol? All they are doing now is fixing meals and changing diapers.

Sometimes I don't believe it's a thumb the Gov't is sucking.

I would be asking who has military assets is Mexico..IE, plant and equipment.

Just shoot the dam thing down and be done with it

Two border patrol get shot at by Mexican cops and it's headline news. Nobody is even hurt..


But how many people's kids get killed each day by illegals and the media refuses to even mention they are illegal aliens?


Glad the BP guys are fine, but I think the emphasis should be elsewhere.

how about a mexican chopper landing at a ranch headquarters miles north of the border, and offloading a squad of heavily armed army? Hey that's okay, they are our friends. This stuff has been going on for years.
They make coppers in mexico too, right, so you know who's equipment it is they are using.

For anybody who follows the border, this isn't exactly news. Using a chopper isn't common, but Mexican military crossing the border and threatening or firing on Americans isn't rare.

It seems to happen every couple of weeks. So it DOES need to be highlighted, but this story doesn't help. At a minimum, this story should list off the dozens of incidents like it that have happened over the last couple of years.

This incident appears to have been a mistake. I only have the article on which to base that opinion, but it does not seem to have been deliberate. Nighttime, no clear border, two shots, nobody hit, and an immediate retreat. Sounds like an ohschitt moment on the part of the helo crew.

Still, the long list of other "incidents" in that area are troubling and ought to have resulted in a much firmer response from our goobermint. And would have with a different administration - one that wasn't actively encouraging this invasion from the South.
