Today marks 10 years since I joined the 'Fire and in looking back I realize that I've learned a great deal here in the past decade, much of which I'd have never guessed. Here are a few of the top ones:
Remingtons suck
Rugers suck
Winchesters suck
Tikkas suck
Kimbers suck
New Marlins suck
Brownings suck
Savages suck most of all
.270's suck
WSM's suck but SAUMS are pretty cool.
.280's are far superior to .270's, .30-06's and .308's
.223's are too small for deer
.223 AI's are excellent for deer
7mm-08's are far superior to 7x57's
7x57's are far superior to anything else smaller than .375 (I alread knew this)
6.5's are even better than 7mm's
The only rifles that don't seem to suck are Sakos, providing they aren't chambered in .270 or a WSM.
Leupolds suck
Nikons suck
Burris's suck
Bushnells suck
Only S&B and Nightforce don't seem to suck
The only bullets you need are Barnes X's
The only bullets you need are Nosler Partitions
The only bullets you need are Hornady Interlocks
Then only bullets you need are Core-Lokts, .30-06 Core-Lokts that is.
Nosler Ballistic Tips are excellent deer bullets, they are the only ones you need.
Nosler Ballistic Tips blow up on deer, you should never use them.
Some bullets way over penetrate on deer, this is a bad thing
Some bullet boxes are smarter than some people
.41 Magnums are better that .44 Magnums, which, of course, suck.
.45 Colts are better that .44 Magnums, which, of course, still suck.
Elmer Keith was the greatest gunwriter of the 20th Century
Jack O'Connor was the greatest gunwriter of the 20th Century
1911's are the greatest handguns ever made.
S&W revolvers are the greatest handguns ever made.
Browning Hi Powers are the greatest handguns ever made.
Glocks are the greatest handguns ever made, in fact every other one is no better than a sharp stick.
Big Stick is one of the greatest hunters of our generation, we should all imitate him
Boxer is a troll, we should all ignore him
Some OldMen never seem to leave
Shrapnel has eyes
GI Joes kill squirrels
Hitler played the banjo
Cats fire Kalashnikovs
The best camouflage is either blue tape or leopard skin, we're not sure which yet.

I am in at least partial agreement with two of those; Jack O'Connor and Elmer Keith were, each in their own way, gifted gunwriters as well as entertaining and informative storytellers. There were others, but those two earned their place.

Ingwe has a leopard print thong - which isn't gay
500 yards is a chip shot
243 is a great elk cartridge
Lee24 was the best at everything on the planet - in fact he is the most interesting man in the world
22 bullets will not penetrate flexed chest muscle
