Just purchased a Ruger American for my grandson. What rings and bases are you using?

Wingnut53 - #12 Weaver bases (F&R) I had on hand, along with Burris Signature Zee rings, mounted on an older Weaver 2-10x38mm scope. You can also get 'tip offs' to fit the OEM grooved receiver if that's a better option for you. Homesteader

Just finished with my set-up. Purchased the American Rimfire Carbine 18" barrel. LOP was 12.50 and I needed 13.75 LOP.

Go to www.shopruger.com and buy all your parts. Purchased the Weaver #12 bases and the High Comb / Standard Pull Butt. Used Burris Gloss Medium Rings. Scope is a Leupold VX-1 2-7x28 Rimfire Fine Duplex. For me I wanted the 18" barrel instead of the 22" barrel. Now I need to sight it in and have some fun.
