Another thread made me think someone needs to make a list of all "twin" powders. So here's where we start a list of what we know to make it easier for us as we buy for reloading during this "fun" economy we have. I intend to put this all in a Google doc, accessible to all eventually.

To add to the list they must be identical not "similar burn rates", and it would be helpful if you can provide a source for the information.

DISCLAIMER: It is your responsibility to verify this list for yourself before working your own loads.

MRP=RL22
H414=w760
Norma 204 = RL-19
Norma 203B = RL-15
MRP2/now 217 = RL25

Thale's/ADI to Hodgdon (I know most in US won't have access to buy ADI brands. (This list is from accurateshooter.com)

AS30N=Clays
AS50N = International
AP70N = Universal
AR2205 = H4227
AR2207 = H4198
AR2219 = H322
Bench Mark2 = BenchMark
AR2206H = H4895
AR2208 = Varget
AR2209 = H4350
AR2213SC = H4831
AR2217 = H1000
AR2225 = Retumbo
AR2218 = H50BMG

Also found a similar discussion on castboolits, but need time to sort it out.

IIRC there are twins for WAP (discontinued from Winchester/St. Marks) and 231 (still available from Winchester/St. Marks).

Is the reference to Norma 203B and Reloader 15 confirmed by the makers or somebody who knows? I know they are very similar I don't know they are the same.

W231 = HP38

There are some duplications in the Accurate and Ramshot lines, too. I'd have to go digging through stuff to get them all, but one that comes to mind is Ramshot Enforcer and AA4100. Darned good powder for .44 Mag, by the way.

Other than collecting royalties, Olin(Winchester) has nothing to do with powder manufacturing. St. Marks is owned and operated by defense contractor General Dynamics. They also own and operate the former IMR extruded plant in Quebec.

Win 760=H414=AA2700
Bl-c(2) & H355 are the same powder, 335 is just on the lower end of the allowable CaCO spec. Win 748 likewise only has an additive change.

Found this on another site.

Industry scuttlebutt says that Norma 203B is the same as Alliant Reloder 15. While both are crafted by European powder-maker, Bofors, were told that 203B is not identical to Reloder 15. At Shot Show, this editor put the question directly to Normas CEO, Torb Lindskog: Is Norma 203B the same as Reloder 15? Lindskog answered: The two powders are very similar, yes. But there are some differencesthey are not exactly the same. We like to think our powder is more uniform.

Read that to essentially mean, "we like to charge more when our name is on the package".
