I have a very nice 20 gauge Ruger Red Label over-under shotgun for sale. This is one of the desirable early guns with a red Ruger recoil pad and blued receiver. 26" barrels, choked SKEET & SKEET--a great gun for both clay birds and upland grouse and woodcock. The gun is chambered for 2 3/4 and 3" shells. The gun is in extremely nice used condition. It has been afield a few times, but it has been taken care of and cleaned after each use. The blueing is 98%+ and the stocks show only a couple of very minor dings. This is a VERY nice older Red Label. Price is $875 plus $30 shipping in the lower 48. Payment by US POSTAL MONEY ORDER. The gun must ship to an FFL. If your FFL dealer requires that the gun be shipped from an FFL dealer on my end, add another $35. First PM with "I'll take it" gets the gun. If you've got questions, please feel free to ask.

TPW is new to the 24 Hour Campfire, but I've known him for 40 years and can vouch for him and this nice old Ruger. You won't find a nicer one unless you buy one new in the box.

I would welcome a face to face meeting in Michigan and am willing to knock $20 off the price for such an arrangement.

If Phil vouches for you, that's good enough for me.
Are you interested in any trades? I have a bevy of very fine S&W revolvers, and I need a 20GA.

That's a first year edition, with the blued receiver. They should have kept them that way....nice looking O/U.

I've got one exactly like it. It's a joy to carry and one of the handiest upland guns I've used. And I agree, the older blued receiver models are classier looking than the new stainless ones.

Wish this had screw in chokes... This was my initial thought when I bought mine, which is also a 26" barreled gun choked Skeet & Skeet. What I've found over the years however, is that this choke combination is ideal for upland grouse, woodcock, and rabbit hunting, where shots are almost always close and fast. Is the gun set up well for pass shooting geese or calling turkey? No, but I've got other shotguns better suited for that. But for 95% of the upland hunting most of us will do this little 20 with this choke setup is great.

Yup, those can be pretty handy. But these fixed skeet chokes work pretty well for woodcock and early grouse.

Wish this had screw in chokes... don't, sk/sk is dam near perfect for the gauge/style of the gun. If I had the cash this would not leave MI
