Sounds good!

One of the advantages to a dot sight is lack of parallax. Put the dot where you want the bullet to hit (within reason) and flame away.

I've used them with no magnification, and FOV is not a problem.

What holster would you guys recommend? I like the look of this one, but I have never used one: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/47...arrel-leather-brown?cm_vc=ProductFinding

Thanks for the holster ad link - good looking rig! When my .44 mag Ruger SBH comes back from the factory with a new cylinder, I was planning on trying a Weaver 2x handgun scope I had lying round. From past experience, I agree scopes on handguns are "challenging". If the scope doesn't work out, I have a C-More red dot I can try, also. I have a Burris Fastfire III on a Glock 10mm and a C-More STS on a 1911 .460 Rowland, and like both for those pistols, but I have the scope left from a Contender project, would like to use it for something.
