Spent yesterday afternoon fishing for east slopes cutties. We were on the Livingstone River in southern Alberta. Most of the creeks were running high and fast from two days of hard rain but they were still clean. After a few fly changes I finally started to catch fish,a golden stonefly nymph was the ticket. If I could get the fly past the top current and down into the pool I'd get a strike. My best for the day was a 13 incher.Talked to another angler and he said he got one that was 19 inches.
Saw lots of game down there, had a band of 35 bighorns cross the road in front of us,all ewes and lambs and 4 small rams.Saw a big mule buck that is already out past his ears and is already showing 4 points.

BlueNorther,
Have you ever fished Landslide Lake? There is supposed to be good cutthroat fishing in there. I haven't fished it, but the hike in and the lake are really scenic.
