I just wish the old .357 180 grain Handgun Partition was still available.
I am fine with the setting of the price by the market, though not so happy about the debasing of currency, or the costly regulation of base metal mining.

Me too on the 180s. Never got to even try them. Swift makes one though that oughta do, but at over a buck a pop. I'm gonna try them though and won't need many.
Now if I could find some of that MP300 to push 'em with!

Thanks for that SPS link. I just got some Sierra 6mm ProHunter blems from Grafs for $15.99 per C. I've checked 100 so far and most have a little extra lead on the end that pops right off. Gonna weigh them later and check for proper caliber. I bought them for Trail Boss practice loads, but they look so good I may just use some to kill stuff.
I bought 5 boxes of 150gr CT Partitions a good while back from Grafs for $7.99. Not blems, but have the steel cup in the base. Shot real good from an '06 I had. Still have about 150. I wish I'd bought 10 boxes instead of 5

Long and sticky, but ideal for lever guns in 44 mag and 444. My dad bought a few hundred of the 357 and 44 versions some years ago. My brother and I have inherited them. Out of a levergun that 180 is an energizer bunny. It is harder than hell to catch one!

The seconds are no good, very inaccurate and very iffy on game. I'd pass on them bigtime...

I have so many Partitions I don't care what they cost anymore. Send JeffO a PM he will help with instructions on how to open your box of partitions

As an example, 7mm 140 gr partitions are $65 up here and TSX's are $47. I just bought a box of 7mm 175gr Partitions for $50 and a few months ago I bought .308" 200gr Partitions for $54.99. TSX's in my neck of the woods are a few $ cheaper per box.

Nosler is very proud of the Partitions! Makes those seconds at SPS look better and better.

Nosler are becoming awful proud of their bullets. They are now $15-$20 more a box than TSX's. At least up here in Canada. What gives? Move south & become a yank.

I just ordered 150 90gr 6mm Accubond blems for $60 delivered. Not bad, especially after paying $31+ tax for 50 100gr Partitions yesterday. Thanks again.

It's great that these premium type bullets up the performance of standard calibers.
However I wonder if the expense of these premium bullets cause many outside the United States, for example Africa, who us cup & core bullets to move up to larger caliber instead?

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

I hear you on powder prices.
Dupont IMR is made in Quebec Canada, shipped south to the US and then shipped north again to Canada. where we pay close to $40.00 per pound .
