The Exorcist was based on a true story that happened in St. Louis. I don't remember where the movie was set. Georgetown

The Exorcist was based on a true story that happened in St. Louis. I don't remember where the movie was set. Movie was set in Washington, DC. I read the book, many years ago, that was the account of the true story on which the movie was based. It was a little boy rather than a little girl. I recall it was a very enjoyable read, but I don't remember the book's title.

Watching that mess once was enough, but I can fish over and over and still want more.

"The Exorcist" may be the only truly scary movie that I've ever seen - just a deep pervading sense of unease.

I must have seen it twenty times since I was a kid, and still enjoy it every time I see it.
That explains a LOT...
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”

The Omen made me come home from the movies and sleep with the lights on. I didn't think anything could get to me after The Exorcist.

Another one based on a true story, out of Germany I believe, is "The exorcism of Emily Rose".
That one spooked me.
