Shrapnel, incredible antelope!
I always felt the .300 Bee was too much of a good thing and like the Winnie more. I'll be curious to hear the particulars, but suspect no one will..............(grin)

shrapnel,
Awesome!
What bullets and glass?
Thanks............ I did have a Schmidt and Bender 4-16X50 on it but replaced it with a Swaro Z-6 3-18. At that time I was, using Accubonds, but have switched to 180 grain BT...

Looked at a 270 Wby rifle. Then priced up brass. 180-odd bucks for 50 pieces!
I lose half of my brass when shooting pigs and goats, so walked away shaking my head.
The Weatherbys aren't popular here. A few like the 257 and 300, that's about it. But for every one of those sold, there'd be 20 x 25-06 and 300 Win Mags.

The 257,270 and 7mm are easy to work around,as they are 25" H&H based,if only obviously. Simply feed any of 'em with 7mmRemMag brass, most of which will soundly TRUMP the soft Weatherby(Norma) junk. Federal being an exception and just as bad..............

I wondered about that, the 7 Rem option. Might have a rethink. Thanks.

My favorites are the 300, 257 and 7. I reload all my ammo and have had good luck with Remington 300 Weatherby brass. If i could have just one caliber, the 300 is my pick.
A good principle to guide me through life: “This is all I have come to expect, standard lackluster performance. Trust nothing, believe no one and realize it will only get worse…”

My favorite of the Wby Cal's is the 240 Wby
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

LOL. I've tears in me eyes, mate. I'd cast my vote in the direction of the 7Roy but the 257 is fun to play with and carries the mail at modest distances.

Hats off to Roy Weatherby for creating a different gun product and making it last and work. His products don't appeal to me as a long barreled rifle with inlays in it's stock and free-bore in it's throat are not what I like. I had a MK V 378 for a while and loaded it down. I wanted to check it out and it had been made by Sauer.

The ONLY thing you've ever loaded to "potential" is your imagination...............
