I prefer chrome-moly in rifle and synthetic stock. Prefer stainless steel for revolvers. Undecided, in regards to 1911s. Need more 1911s to decide!

NMpistolero: I much prefer blued pistols (revolvers) for adding to my collection - then for pistols I carry and shoot for self protection and sport I prefer stainless steel (revolvers).
I have NO idea what my Glocks are made of.

Kind prefer stainless but really just for looks. But it depends on the gun mostly..

I like every handgun I own just the way it is - stainless, blued, parkerized, polycoated - whatever.
Each seems unique in its own way and I wouldn't change a thing.
I even feel the same way about 'grips' - mostly.

I think Stainless is less likely to show wear, but I have both.
I don't worry about rust.
That's what oil is for
One shot, one kill........ It saves a lot of ammo!

I prefer stainless steel for my revolvers and carbon steel/aluminum for my semi-automatic pistols.
