It has been a couple of months since I put a deposit down and ordered mine, but no word yet on arrival date.
I sent an e-mail to Lipsey's on Tuesday......but just hearing crickets.

I've heard the end of the month they will be out. Supposedly they have lengthened the cylinder to fit all the sizes of bullets and they are shortening the forcing cone to fit the cylinder. We'll see.

This is the first I've heard about it. Can you give some specifics on it?

It's based in the Ruger Single Six size pistol, except instead of a 6 shot this will be a 7 shot. It will be available in 4-5/8", 5-1/2" and 7-1/2" barrel. Limited run, should be a neat little gun.

Marlin,
Thanks for the reply. I called Boise gun last week, and they could not tell me a thing. And Lipsey's has still not bothered to reply to my e-mail.

I obviously don't know for a fact but Jason at Lipsey's indicated that was the date a little while back. Course Lipsey's plan and Rugers could be different.

At least now I know that the revolvers are still in the pipeline somewhere, rather than being all gone and I missed out somehow!
Thanks again

Ruger is ALWAYS late when bringing a new model out. I ordered two of the 7.5 inch models, each one from a different dealer and both carry all the Lipsey models when they can. One dealer wanted a deposit, the other didn't. I just have a "wait an see" attitude. I would be happy to see one by the end of October, but not holding my breath. In the mean time the waiting gave me time to buy some dies, Starline brass, and Hornady 85 grain XTP bullets:)

I am almost ready to start loading for it.
I got RCBS dies, shell holders, 300 115 gr Gold Dot, 200 85 gr XTP, and 500 78 gr Lasercast. I have Universal and H110 to start with, but so far no sign of brass. Midway said they expected my Starline brass to ship 8-25-14, but it has not happened yet.

I bought Starline brass from Grafs and they still show it in stock.

If Ruger had brought this gun out to start with instead of the SP101 the .327 would have done much better in the marketplace.
What is the real world price for one of these? I'd love to have one.

Should be indeed - and most likely about 1/3 the cost of a Freedom Arms.. But, since I have the FA, I doubt I'll "need" to obtain the Ruger..

My dealer has estimated around $550.

This from a post on the Ruger forum on 9/11:
Earlier today Lipsey's posted on their Facebook page "Some of the 5-1/2" guns are on the way to us" under a photo of the Single Seven.
I'm glad I pre-ordered with a high-volume FFL, cost was $550 shipped.
